 Karaca Çay A.Ş. is the first private tea shop to be established with 100 % domestic capital in Ardeşen, Rize. The company is established by Rıfkı Karaca who has administered in Turkish Republician State Economic Enterprise Çaykur for 18 years and served as a factory manager and worked in such places as the chief of Directorate of Tea Agriculture. Rıfkı Karaca performed in the studies about tea farming in such countries as Ireland, Sri Lanka when he took office between 1977 – 1990 and took part in the establishment committee of tea market. Rıfkı Karaca supporting in the highest quality production of Rize Tea with his profound knowledge and experience has also controlled tea production from the first stage of which is fresh tea leaves to the final stage of storage under the suitable conditions after packaging by himself. Karaca Tea produces processed tea in an area of closed 3500 square meters and open 4000 square meters, in sum 7500 square meters. Karaca Tea Shop is established in the middle of tea field located in Ardeşen Pirinçlik village because Karaca Tea has been trying to present its consumers the most quality tea from the exact field of natural fresh tea which they produce the processed tea so that they can make sure that it is not away from the field.
